YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Windybrow Theatre is running a Development Program focusing on the youth in the Inner City, Hillbrow, Berea, Yeoville and surrounding areas.

Participants from the age of 14 to 18 years old, are taken through a fifteen weeks intense training program on the basic performing arts skills in the various forms of dance, music and drama. This will culminate in a showcase where different stakeholders in the community will be invited.

The Windybrow strongly believes that this program will not only assist  participants  to gain entry into the exciting world of the arts, but also to stimulate the creative mind in the shaping of a vibrant civil society through the performing arts.

The program is facilitated by Sifiso Kweyama (dance), Thope Diniso and Zodwa Mabena (Music) and Tebogo Maboa (Drama).

A certificate of attendance will be presented to the participants upon completion.

The Youth Development Programme commenced on the 26th January to 3rd May, 2008, Saturdays only.
